Book Recs: If you liked this musical, read this book

March 27, 2025

Hello hello besties, happy world theatre day! As I’m sure you all know, I love anything that celebrates theatre, so I love this day and I love that it happens to fall during my birthday month!

In honor of this day, I thought it would be fun to recommend some books that you should read based on what musicals you like! Or, what musicals to listen to based on what books you like!

Book Recs: For the Pisces Reader

February 18, 2025

Happy Pisces Season! As a Pisces myself, I love this time of year. Pretty much every time I see a post that is “___ as the zodiac signs” I stop to read it and take it very personally if Pisces is not something I like — once I saw a Which Gilmore Girls Character Are the Signs one and it gave Pisces Dean…you know I unfollowed that account. Since I love posts like this, I figured it was long overdue that I make one for my fellow Pisces!

There are probably millions of books that I could put on this list, but I managed to narrow it down to 9 books that I think are perfect for Pisces readers!

Book Recs: Summer Book Recs

July 17, 2024

Hi besties! I shared my Summer TBR a few weeks ago (so far I’ve only read one of these…I gotta get on that!), so I wanted to share some summer recs! As I’ve mentioned, summer is my favorite time of year (though I’ll be honest I did not love that heatwave we went through at the beginning of the month), so of course, I love any book set in the summer or just gives summer vibes.

So, if you’re looking for books to read while lounging by the pool or lying on the beach, I’ve got you. Grab your favorite iced beverage, get comfy, and let’s talk summer book recs!

Book Recommendations: Cossette’s Favorite Audiobooks

May 14, 2024

Hi Friends! Admittedly, I haven’t had much time (or motivation) to read as of late, aside from audiobooks, so I thought I’d do a little recommendation post on some of my favorite audiobooks. We’ve come a long way from when this blog was first launched, and I started to give audiobooks more of a shot. Training my brain to slowly get used to audiobooks, and realizing that audiobooks worked a lot better for me if I was doing other things (like crafting, or exercising) at the same time really did wonders.

Book Recs: Books to read based off of your favorite musicals

March 19, 2024

Hi friends! I’ve felt pretty distanced from the world of theater as of late, especially in terms of the Seattle theatre scene, but the 2024 – 2025 Broadway in Seattle seasons recently got announced, and I’m starting to feel excited about going to a show for the first time in ages. I thought it’d be fun to pair books with musicals that I’m hoping to see soon for today’s post.

Book Recs Based On Your Favorite Song from 1989

October 24, 2023

Hi friends! With 1989 (Taylor’s Version) coming out this week, I thought it’d be fun to do a book recommendations post based on your favorite 1989 song so far. I can’t wait to hear what the vault tracks sound like, especially Is It Over Now? and Say Don’t Go — and like everyone else, I am incredibly curious about what Slut! sounds like.

Book Recommendations based off of your favorite song from The Good Witch

August 29, 2023

I’ve been listening to nothing but Maisie Peters’ The Good Witch as of late, and I figured it’d be a perfect opportunity to pair songs from The Good Witch to book recs! It’s truly the album of the summer, and I couldn’t  be more proud of Maisie for her sophomore album — especially for hitting number 1 on the charts! I also got the chance to see Maisie live in concert last night (and also at Lollapalooza, where I was earlier this month), and all I can say is: if you have the chance to go see her, please do! She’s incredible live, and her stage presence is unmatched.

Book Recs: Based On Your Favorite Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) Vault Track

July 11, 2023

Happy Tuesday, lovelies! I’ve been obsessively listening to Speak Now (Taylor’s Version), and thought it’d be fun to do a mini book recs for the vault songs only. I’ve also included book recs for two unreleased songs from that era that I love dearly (and wish were on Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)) — Battle, and Drama Queen. I think my favorite vault tracks are Foolish One, Castles Crumbling, and Timeless, but I love all of them, truly!

Book Recs: Based on Your Favorite Song from “The Show” by Niall Horan

June 15, 2023

Happy Thursday, everyone! I hope that you’re doing well. Summer camps started this week so my admin duties at work are off the charts (it’s been quite the week), and really, music is what’s getting me through at the moment! On the 9th, my forever fave Niall Horan released his third album The Show, and I absolutely LOVE it!

I’ve been listening to it pretty much non-stop and every single song is a total bop. Niall really just put out an absolutely stellar album, and I’m so proud but not at all shocked.

Once Niall announced the album, I knew I wanted to do a book recs post for it, and that day is finally here! If you haven’t already done so, I highly recommend turning on Niall’s album, and getting comfy with your favorite beverage as I recommend books based on songs from The Show.
