Hi friends! I’ve felt pretty distanced from the world of theater as of late, especially in terms of the Seattle theatre scene, but the 2024 – 2025 Broadway in Seattle seasons recently got announced, and I’m starting to feel excited about going to a show for the first time in ages. I thought it’d be fun to pair books with musicals that I’m hoping to see soon for today’s post.

Hi friends! With 1989 (Taylor’s Version) coming out this week, I thought it’d be fun to do a book recommendations post based on your favorite 1989 song so far. I can’t wait to hear what the vault tracks sound like, especially Is It Over Now? and Say Don’t Go — and like everyone else, I am incredibly curious about what Slut! sounds like.

I’ve been listening to nothing but Maisie Peters’ The Good Witch as of late, and I figured it’d be a perfect opportunity to pair songs from The Good Witch to book recs! It’s truly the album of the summer, and I couldn’t be more proud of Maisie for her sophomore album — especially for hitting number 1 on the charts! I also got the chance to see Maisie live in concert last night (and also at Lollapalooza, where I was earlier this month), and all I can say is: if you have the chance to go see her, please do! She’s incredible live, and her stage presence is unmatched.

Happy Tuesday, lovelies! I’ve been obsessively listening to Speak Now (Taylor’s Version), and thought it’d be fun to do a mini book recs for the vault songs only. I’ve also included book recs for two unreleased songs from that era that I love dearly (and wish were on Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)) — Battle, and Drama Queen. I think my favorite vault tracks are Foolish One, Castles Crumbling, and Timeless, but I love all of them, truly!

Happy Thursday, everyone! I hope that you’re doing well. Summer camps started this week so my admin duties at work are off the charts (it’s been quite the week), and really, music is what’s getting me through at the moment! On the 9th, my forever fave Niall Horan released his third album The Show, and I absolutely LOVE it!
I’ve been listening to it pretty much non-stop and every single song is a total bop. Niall really just put out an absolutely stellar album, and I’m so proud but not at all shocked.
Once Niall announced the album, I knew I wanted to do a book recs post for it, and that day is finally here! If you haven’t already done so, I highly recommend turning on Niall’s album, and getting comfy with your favorite beverage as I recommend books based on songs from The Show.

Hello friends, happy June! June marks the beginning of summer camp for me, so it’ll be a busy month, but on the upside, season four of The CW’s Nancy Drew premiered last night, therefore I have something to look forward to every Wednesday night! Speaking of the premiere, my Dewds, how’re we feeling? I’m dead. I can’t get over the Nace scenes, I will be thinking about this for at least 15 business years. I fear I won’t be surviving this season. Now, back to the post…
We all know how much I love the Nancy Drew books, and I don’t think it comes as a shock that I love the show as much as I do. I love the inspiration that they took from the book series —- the easter eggs are so well done — and I love the ways that they’ve made the story and characters more modern. It hooked me right from the start, and my love for it continues to grow. I truly can’t remember the last show that I loved this much — we’re talking, thinking about it constantly, theorizing, counting down the days until the next episode, etc. The show was one of the only really positive things in my life during a very difficult 2021, and for that, I will always be grateful.
I’ve also met some of the most amazing people through the fandom and the relationships that we’ve built because of this show are just so wonderful. Because the show is finally back (we’re not gonna talk about how it’s the last season), I thought it would be fun to share some book recs that I think fans of the CW’s Nancy Drew will enjoy!

Hi besties! In honor of World Theatre Day on the 27th, I thought it would be fun to share some recommendations for books involving theatre. We all know that if a book mentions theatre in any way I will be picking it up, and the five on this list are some that I really love!
This list could’ve been VERY long, especially if I decided to include non-fiction recs, but I decided to keep it short and sweet this time around — I know, you’re all shocked! So, grab a cup of tea, turn on your favorite cast recording, and let’s get to the recs.

Happy Friday! I haven’t listened to anything but Taylor Swift’s Midnights since it came out — it truly is for the insomniac girlies like me. Since I couldn’t sleep the night it was released, I figured it’d be fun to do a book recs post based on your favorite songs on Midnights!

Hello, everyone! You all may not know this, but Cossette and I both love Gossip Girl (we are Blair Waldorf stans first, and humans second. Also, Dair should’ve been end game), and since the fifteen year anniversary of the show’s premiere is on the 19th — I’m sorry what? — we thought it would be fun to share some Gossip Girl recs with you!
When we were coming up with this post, we originally thought of recommending books based on your favorite character, but then thought “what if we recommended books we think the characters would like?” and so, this list was created! So grab a cup of tea, and some macarons (approved by Blair) and get cozy!
