Hi, hello and welcome to teatimelit! We’re Caitlyn, and Cossette; two friends with a shared love of tea and reading. We wanted to promote and celebrate books that have had an impact on our lives, as well as discover new reads. Thank you so much for taking the time to check our blog out!
Hi friends! My name is Caitlyn (she/her), and I’m so happy to have you here! I’m 29 years-old from the California Bay Area, and I work as the Education Manager for a youth theatre company.
As a kid I was the “reader” of my friend group and always found myself escaping into other worlds through literature. Reading has always been a huge source of joy for me (or I guess anger depending on the book), and I love discussing books with others which is what inspired me to want to be part of this blog. My favorite genres are classics, mystery/thriller, and contemporary, but I’ love reading all kinds of books and discovering new ‘ll try any book/genre at least once!
When I’m not reading (or working), you can usually find me watching a musical or listening to showtunes, baking, binge-watching my favorite shows for the millionth time, working in my bullet journal or tending to my plants.

Hi, hello! I’m Cossette, and I use she/her pronouns. I’m 24, and I live on unceded Duwamish land (suburbs of Seattle) with my dog, Toto. I immigrated from Hong Kong when I was younger, and have been in Seattle ever since.
I’ve been a reader for as long as I can remember — I just love the idea of dipping my toes into someone else’s story, and a different world! And of course, the escapism from daily life is hard to beat. I’m often found reading in the early hours of the morning, or very late at night (depending on how you prefer to describe it) and a bit of a chaotic reader – I’m usually either juggling a couple books at once, not reading at all, or reading books in one sitting. I’m also notoriously bad at buddy reading, and will usually end up reading ahead. I usually have a chaotic reading schedule, and am a big fan of rereading books and annotating/tabbing them in the process.
I tend to gravitate towards contemporary, literary fiction, romance, classics, YA fantasy, and always love a good retelling. I particularly enjoy books that are diverse, and am drawn towards books with a strong grief theme. Some of my favorite books include The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern, Down Comes the Night by Allion Saft, Portrait of a Thief by Grace D. Li, Honey Girl by Morgan Rogers, and Beach Read by Emily Henry.
When I’m not reading or working, I can usually be found bullet journaling, attempting to write, listening to showtunes, messing around in photoshop, or playing animal crossing.
