Announcement: A Letter from Coco đź’Ś

June 22, 2024

hi, hello, dear friends!

from getting to share my thoughts on books, to building a community and befriending so many of you on various platforms, i’ve had a lovely few years being a book blogger (and bookstagrammer). with a lot of personal things going on, i’ve realized that being a book blogger/bookstagrammer isn’t something that i can actively commit to doing at the moment— especially not in a way that i’d be proud of what i’m putting out. if you’d like to stay in touch, i’ll still be around on twitter @cossettebelle, and on goodreads @cossettereads! thank you all for the last couple of years; it’s truly been so lovely and i absolutely cannot wait to see what changes caitlyn has in store for the blog!

lots of love,

June 30, 2022

Hi, hello everyone!

We hope you’ve been having a great year so far. We wanted to do a quick announcement to say that teatimelit is going on a quick hiatus! Our hiatus will be from July 1st to July 15th, after which we will continue posting as normal! You can still contact us via our contact form, or our Twitter @teatimelits!

Further to this notice, Mary will be taking a leave of absence from posting on the blog effective immediately. She will resume posting again in November, but you can still follow along with her reads on Twitter (@bookswithmary), Instagram (@bookswithmary) and Goodreads (maryreading).

Our book club, tea time reads, will still go on as normal!

Have a lovely rest of your month!

ANNOUNCEMENT: ANIMAL CROSSING READATHON!

February 11, 2022

Happy Friday! If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter, you might’ve already seen a little teaser for today’s announcement! Just in case you haven’t though, here’s the teaser:

A photo of a Nintendo Switch OLED with "Animal Crossing Readathon ... loading" on the screen. The Switch is stacked on top of some notebooks and books.

As you may have concluded from the photo, I’m hosting an Animal Crossing themed readathon with one of my best friends, Saima! Saima is one of my favorite people, and I’m so excited that we’re collaborating on this. Both of us love Animal Crossing dearly, and we’ve got so many fun things planned for this readathon. The Animal Crossing Readathon will run from March 1st to April 15th. You can find official prompts below!

To keep up the excitement, we’ll be hosting reading sprints throughout the read-a-thon through our twitter page and Discord server, to keep everyone inspired and motivated. We hope you enjoy this readathon, and have as much fun participating as we did creating and hosting it!

Openin’ Up: theatreathon announcement

August 20, 2021

Hi friends! We’re so excited to bring to you today the theatreathon! To celebrate the incoming Tony Awards, and celebrate theatre in general, we thought it would be fun to host a read-a-thon to combine both of our loves! The theatreathon will run from September 1st – September 30th. You can find the official prompts and book recommendations for the read-a-thon below, and be sure to keep up to date with us on our socials! You can follow [@] theatreathons to see how everyone else participating is progressing, and be sure to use the hashtag #theatreathon to stay connected!

To keep up the excitement, we’ll be hosting reading sprints throughout the read-a-thon through our twitter page, to keep everyone inspired and motivated. We hope you enjoy this read-a-thon, and have as much fun participating as we did make it!

While there’s a lot of prompts in this read-a-thon, feel free to pick and choose the ones you feel inspired by! Do as much, or as little, as you’d like to do – the purpose of this is to have fun, celebrate theatre, and read some new books!

FEATURE: CAFE AT 46 OLD STREET COVER REVEAL & INTERVIEW WITH HANNAH CAO

May 16, 2021

Hello friends! We’re so excited and honored to be revealing the cover of Cafe at 46 Old Street by Hannah Cao! We’ve been following along Hannah’s writer journey for a while now, and Cafe at 46 Old Street is one of our most anticipated releases of the year. After all, a new adult romance, with 4 POVs, found family, and a lost and exposed diary? What more could we want! It sounds like the ultimate comfort read!

Sometimes all you really need is a place to call home.

Hanh arrives in London with nothing but her sketchbook and her journal. She is starry-eyed at the idea of starting a new life in the city of opportunities— where she is no longer forced to sit at Friday dinners with her father’s new wife and kids, and where, on the down-side, she is no longer with her first love.

Winston has always been a little out-of-sync. As if to prove how disappointing he looks next to his Golden brother, he just dropped out of university and, on top of that, was dumped by his girlfriend over text. Living a life of dark espresso without the sugar, he is struggling to find a role in his own life.

Clementine is a quirky rarity, a splash of nosy and a cup of eccentric, destined to be the driving force of her parents’ otherwise sleepy coffee shop — if she doesn’t lose it to the looming competition threatening her eviction.

Alexander grew up unable to fit in, having moved from Italy to London with his overachieving mother at a young age and constantly changing schools. His quiet nature is a curtain to his fears, but his delightful tarts are a reflection of how others feel about him.

From the outside, their lives are simple: they’re a group of an overjoyed newbie, a strictly sober bartender, an exuberant coffee shop owner and a quiet baker trying to find their place in the world. But still waters run deep in the Cafe At 46 Old Street, so when reality comes catching up to them, threatening their routine and crumbling their lofty walls, their lives are changed in the matter of a year.

Will they find their way back home?

Hello & Welcome!

September 29, 2020

Hi, hello! We’re Caitlyn, Cossette, and Mary, and we’re really excited to be launching teatimelit! We’ve always promoted our love for books on various other platforms, but wanted an opportunity to connect with other book lovers and a chance to highlight issues in literature that other people may not talk about. We have a passion for promoting a wide range of literature, and hope you find a new favourite book while browsing our blog!

We titled our blog teatimelit as we all love tea and literature. There’s nothing better than sitting down with a good book and a nice cup of tea. We initially became friends over a mutual love for theatre and literature, which resulted in us making our own book club. In our book club, we took turns to choose our book of the month, and would review them for fun in our group chat. So, we figured, why not make a blog for it instead?

We hope you enjoy your time here, and thank you again for checking out our blog!

xo,

Caitlyn, Cossette & Mary.
