Okay, I swear that September started 2 seconds ago, and suddenly the month is over? Honestly, just wild. The last half of the year is absolutely flying by! September was a mostly okay month, (Taylor Swift voice) so let’s get into it…

I think that I’ve mostly gotten out of my reading slump! Am I still reading slower than I normally do? Yes, I think so, it’s been taking me longer to finish books than it normally does, but the actual act of reading didn’t feel like a struggle this month like it did last month, so I’m definitely taking that as a big win!
This month I finally started my book inventory spreadsheet that I’m setting up with my book covers. It is a very slow going process; I could make it easier on myself if I just put the covers, but I’m also putting other general book information, so it really takes a while to get through all the details. I’m sorting it by author and so far I’m only on the letter J, so 16 more letters to go! My goal is to have it finished/up to date by the end of the year.
Books read this month:
- Athena’s Child by Hannah Lynn (4 stars)
- The Wisteria Society of Lady Scoundrels by India Holton (3.5 stars)
- Dissection of a Murder by Jo Murray (4.5 stars)
- A Spartan’s Sorrow by Hannah Lynn (4 stars)
- Heart of Glass by Jennifer Hillier (3.5 stars)
- Death on a Lively Sea by Katy Watson (4 stars)
- Queens of Themiscyra by Hannah Lynn (3 stars)
- The Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux (reread, 4 stars)
- Clara & the Devil, Vol. 1 by Olivie Blake and Little Chmura (4 stars)
- She Haunts Me Still by De Elizabeth (4.5 stars)
Blog posts and vlogs I loved this month:
- Erin from ErinSmithArt shared her announcement post for her Bewitched Readathon that starts in October and I’m so excited! I haven’t participated in the readathon before, and I can’t wait to participate this year
- As someone who is obsessed with The Traitors, I always love Gavin’s TBR Traitors vlogs, and the Vlogs of Halloween edition was so fun!
- Meg shared another TBR 200 video that I really enjoyed watching
My posts this month:

My time off work ended at the beginning of the month, and luckily my first week back wasn’t too crazy so I got to ease back in after taking some time off at the end of the summer. We had auditions for the show I’m directing in November and December and they went well. I’m looking forward to starting rehearsals once November rolls around.
I got to go to another Bay FC match! While we didn’t win, it was still a really great game, and we sat in a new section of the stadium which is probably my new favorite place to sit. I was super excited to wear my new Claire Hutton jersey, and I ended up buying another new sweatshirt…oops!
This month included some crafting! I had gotten a ton of Halloween themed crafts at Michael’s and this month I started some of the color by numbers sets that I got. So far, I’ve done 2/4 and they’re super fun and relaxing, so I’ll hopefully finish the other two soon and then get started on some of the other kits I bought. I’ve been working on some props for work which has been fun, but they do take awhile. I also started one of my Little Women puzzles! It’s been really fun to work on, but after I finished the Jo and Amy sections of the puzzle, I realized that the table I was using was too small for the puzzle, so I’m going to have to move it downstairs to finish it.

I finally have Hulu again, so I’m starting to catch up on all the shows on Hulu that I’ve wanted to watch/continue. Meaning, I finally watched seasons 2-5 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives…it really is like a car crash that you can’t look away from, huh…
The Traitors: New Blood started this month which I was so excited about! I’ve been eagerly awaiting a new season of The Traitors, and I do like that they have ~regular~ people on the show this season, even if at least one of them is an influencer that I follow 🤣I also just found out that there’s a Canada version of The Traitors?? I swear I didn’t see it on Peacock before, so I’m obviously watching that now as well.
For the first time in years there are a lot of celebrities that I like on Dancing with the Stars, so I’ve been paying quite a lot of attention to that as well. My top 2 are Harry Shum Jr. and Amber Glenn, but I also love Taylor Hanson (I loved Hanson as a kid), Maura Higgings (loved her on The Traitors and honestly so impressed with her so far this season!), Julia Stiles and Jackson Olson. I’m also really enjoying Eza French’s performances, Daniella is probably one of my favorite choreographers on the show.
The new season of The Great British Baking Show started and I am so excited for Bake Off Fridays to be back, it’s always the best way to start my weekend! I’m going to miss Prue so much, but I’ve always been a fan of Nigella, so I’m really excited for her to be on the show.

I haven’t listened to much new music this month, but what new stuff I have listened to I’ve loved! I keep getting Dove Cameron’s When In Rome stuck in my head; it’s such a fun song and you truly can hear her happiness in the song. I love that for her. I love The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore — upon first listen, Pink Clouding was my favorite, but I’ve had all the songs stuck in my head on repeat.
Your girl won the Ticketmaster war again this month when I got tickets for Harry Styles at The Rose Bowl! Ahhhhhhhhhh! Next year my best friend and I will be seeing Harry in April and Niall in May and I seriously cannot wait for the spring of 2027!

Annnnnnnnnd that’s about it for this month! It was a mostly lowkey month which is nice! October will probably be pretty busy with work and I’ll be seeing the touring production of The Phantom of the Opera and going to Ann Liang’s book event, plus, you never know what else will come up throughout the month, so starting the “ber” months in a more chill way was pretty welcomed.
Until next time 💜
