Wrap Up: November 2020

November 30, 2020

This month, Caitlyn read 19 books, Cossette read 20 books, and Mary read 5 books. Overall, it’s been a good reading month for us here at teatimelit. If we wrote about every book we read, this post would be far too long, so here are our highlights.

Caitlyn

Overall this has been a really great reading month for me! This month I surpassed 100 books, which I had set as my new reading goal when I hit my goal of 50 back in June. I’m hoping I’ll be able to hit 150 books by the end of the year but we shall see! Luckily, this month I have really enjoyed the majority of the books I’ve read, most of them have been 4 and 5 star reads. My favorite reads this month were: Chloe Gong’s These Violent Delights (you can check out my review here), Lies Like Poison by Chelsea Pitcher (you can check my review here), You Have a Match by Emma Lord, I Love You So Mochi by Sarah Kuhn, and Rent a Boyfriend by Gloria Chao. Next month I’m planning on doing a buddy read of my favorite book If We Were Villains by M.L. Rio, The Cousins by Karen M. McManus, We Are Okay by Nina LaCour, Love & Olives by Jenna Evans Welch, as well as a bunch of the ARCs that have been waiting for me…

Cossette:

I hit a bit of a slump in the middle of the month, but I was able to catch up near the end, and I think I’ll still be able to reach my new reading goal of 150. I’ve been reading a lot of rom coms this month, which I think has something to do with the amount of 4 and 5 star reads. I got to read some of my most anticipated reads of 2021 – One Last Stop by Casey McQuiston (check out my review it here), You Have a Match by Emma Lord, and Perfect on Paper by Sophie Gonzales. In terms of recent releases, I absolutely loved Chloe Gong’s These Violent Delights, and Rent a Boyfriend by Gloria Chao. Next month, I’m planning on buddy reading Amparo Ortiz’s Blazewrath Games and Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng, as well as buddy re-reading M.L. Rio’s If We Were Villains, hopefully catching up on some of my ARCs, and some books for the Playlistathon which I’ve admittedly been ignoring!

Mary

This reading month hasn’t been the best, but I can’t expect to always read 10+ books a month and that’s ok! In total, I have read 5 books, all of which I thoroughly enjoyed! This November I started the All Souls trilogy, famously known for the first book in the series A Discovery of Witches. I’m currently reading the third book, and I’m super excited to keep going in the series. It’s a lovely mixture of dark academia, historical fiction and magic, with a swoon-worthy romance that’ll satisfy any reader! As well as the All Souls trilogy, I also read The Gilded Wolves by Roshani Chokshi! This book was phenomenal. I’m so glad Caitlyn, Cossette and I decided to buddy read it. It’s the perfect YA fantasy, with a multi-POV format that flows beautifully, and characters you can’t help but love. I cannot wait to pick up the sequel in December!

Here’s hoping your holiday season is full of reading, tall cups of tea and festive cheer!
