Hi, hello friends and welcome to our final wrap up of 2021! We’ve had such a wonderful year talking about books with you, and we cannot wait to see what 2022 brings us. Thank you to everyone who has followed us this year, we truly couldn’t have done it without you!
This month Caitlyn read 15 books, Cossette read 15 books, and Mary read 14 books.
I won’t lie. This month was hard. I underestimated just how crazy busy December would be for me, and how severely I would lack in the reading motivation department. While I definitely didn’t get to read as much as I had wanted to, I ended up reading 15 books this month. I’m ending the year having read 215 books, the most I’ve read in a single year, so I’m pretty proud of myself! My highlights from this month would be my rereads of If We Were Villains and Tweet Cute, I also really enjoyed the 3rd book in the Gilded Wolves series, The Bronzed Beasts. I also binged 5 Shakespeare audiobooks on the 31st just for funsies. I haven’t finished planning my 2022 reading goals, but with so many exciting new releases, I’m sure it’ll be another great reading year!

Posts I Loved Reading:
- I love reading posts about people’s favorite reads of the year, and Helena listed 4 of my favorite reads of the year as well!
While I didn’t read most of the books on my December TBR (I may have overestimated my own abilities, and how busy I would be in December), I ended up reading 15 books this month, making my yearly total 277. A standout this month for me was Dream, Annie, Dream by Waka T. Brown, and I loved rereading A Far Wilder Magic by Allison Saft, and Beach Read by Emily Henry. I’m still working on my 2022 reading goals, but I’m hopeful that it’ll be a good reading year.

Posts I Loved Reading:
- This is a double shoutout to Amanda at BookishBrews — I loved her Portrait of a Thief ARC Review, which really affirmed my own thoughts and feelings about Portrait of a Thief, and her Ophelia After All review has me even more excited to dig into my ARC! Sorry for the failed buddy read, Amanda!
- I’m obsessed with charts, spreadsheets, and tracking, so it’s no surprise that I loved May’s How My Reading & Mindset About Reading Have Evolved This Year post.
I’m honestly not too sure how it happened, but I read a total of 14 books this month. I haven’t read this many in a while, and I am super excited to have hit my reading goal for the year. This year I read 100 books, which is the highest amount I’ve ever read in a year! In the month of December I read a lot of wonderful books, it’s quite hard to narrow it down to just a few to talk about. Legendborn by Tracey Deonn was our teatimereads pick for the month and I absolutely loved jumping into such a brilliant fantasy world. It was arguably one of the best fantasy novels I’ve read in a long time, and I cannot wait for book two next year. I also absolutely loved Luck of the Titanic by Stacey Lee. This book was beautiful, and left me feeling empty for a while after finishing it. Lee is such a wonderful writer, and I cannot wait to see what they write next. Some of my favourite books in December were the The Simple Wild series by K.A Tucker. I went into these books completely blind and absolutely adored them. In fact, they might be some of my favourite books in the entire year. It’s so lovely to pick up a novel and instantly love it, and that’s how I felt about this series. There’s a spin off novel coming out in January, and I am anxiously waiting for that to release to jump straight back into snowy Alaska. I cannot wait to see what 2022 has in store for my reading journey, and I look forward to sharing it with you all!
