Where did October go? This month, Caitlyn read 8 books, Cossette read 20 books, and Mary read 9 books. Overall, it’s been a good reading month for us here at teatimelit. If we wrote about every book we read, this post would be far too long, so here are our highlights!

Overall this month was about a regular reading month for me! I usually finish about 9-10 books a month, so I was just a little under my norm, but this month was pretty crazy. I definitely didn’t get to a lot of books on my list. I had gotten approved for a handful of ARCs on NetGalley and Edelweiss+ that I was hoping to get to but was unable to, and then I requested more books…which in hindsight might not have been the best choice. Unfortunately, some of the books I read this month were a little bit of a dud for me, but there were some that I really enjoyed! I think my top three would be The Poppy and the Rose by Ashlee Cowels, Where Dreams Descend by Janella Angeles (a re-read, and you can check out my review here), and The Royal We by Heather Cocks and Jessica Morgan (I also read the sequel, The Heir Affair this month and that was just as delightful! You can also check out my blog post on The Royal We here). I am so excited that next month is November because These Violet Delights by Chloe Gong has been one of my most anticipated reads of the year and I can’t wait to finally get my hands on a copy! I’m also looking forward to reading The Gilded Wolves by Roshani Chokshi in addition to participating in the Taylor Swift Playlistathon – I’m starting to pick my books and prompts and we’ll see how many I can get to! I also might do my 4th reread of If We Were Villians by M.L. Rio this year, so we’ll see!

Overall, it was a pretty good reading month for me! I didn’t get to read everything on my list, but perhaps I was overly ambitious in doing so — I’d initially hoped that I’d read every single ARC I got approved for on NetGalley, but then I ended up requesting more books, and you know how that goes. It was incredibly difficult to pick my top three reads of this month, but I think I’ll have to go with Can’t Take That Away by Steven Salvatore (an ARC — Keep an eye out for my post on it early next February), The Meet Cute Project by Rhiannon Richardson (another a wonderfully delightful ARC — I’ll be posting about it in December) and Maggie Stiefvater’s Call Down the Hawk. Curiosity also got the better of me this month, and I read some questionable books (Check out my Goodreads to see what I’m talking about). I received some bookish mail yesterday, and received an arc of my most anticipated read, which I cannot wait to read next month. Next month, I’m also looking forward to reading Chloe Gong’s These Violent Delights, Tracy Deonn’s Legendborn, as well as participating in the Taylor Swift Playlistathon, — I’m currently hoping to read 15 books (20, if I’m being ambitious) for it, but we’ll see what happens! I’m also going to be buddy rereading Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston for the nth time with some friends!

This month, I read a total of 9 books, which is super amazing for me! It’s been a busy month, so being able to read that many is wonderful. While I read a wide range of books this October, my three favourites would have to be From Blood and Ash by Jennifer L. Armentrout, The Kingdom of the Wicked by Kerri Maniscalco (which you can find my review for here), and The Girl from the Well by Rin Chupeco (which you can find my review for here!). Next month, I’m most looking forward to finishing Cemetery Boys by Aiden Thomas! I’ve been slowly making my way through the audiobook, so here’s hoping I can finish that next month on my commute to work!
