Hi, hello friends! Another month done and dusted: where has the time gone? This month was a good reading month for all of us here at teatimelit, and we cannot wait to see what we read next month too. This month Caitlyn read 22 books, Cossette read 28 books, and Mary read 8 books.
This has been my best reading month in a long time. The reading prompt jar was such a fun way to pick my reads this month and it really motivated me to read, once I finished a book I just picked another one up. I ended up reading 22 books. I read a lot of really great books this month, but I’d have to say that my favorites were: Emma Lord’s When You Get the Chance, Courtney Gould’s The Dead and the Dark, Kalynn Bayron’s This Poison Heart, and Rachel Griffin’s The Nature of Witches. I’m so excited about the theatreathon next month, so we’ll see what I end up reading!

Posts I Loved Reading:
- Obviously, books are a huge part of my life, and they have been since I was a child. I firmly believe that there are some books that are essential to understanding me as a person, so I love reading about what books have inspired my friends. I absolutely loved reading May’s post about books that have shaped her, and she definitely inspired me to get working on a post like this of my own!
- We know how much I love supernatural stories, and if it involves dark academia count me in! I’m so excited to read When All The Girls Are Sleeping after reading Samia’s review!
- The A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder series is one of my favorites and I’m so excited about the release of the third and final book in the series, As Good As Dead. Reading ohnobook’s review made me even more excited for it!
After two months of reading over 40 books, it’s a bit of a relief — and an odd feeling — to say that I’ve only read 28 books this month! That being said, I have read 200 books this year already, which is exactly double my original Goodreads goal, so I’m pretty jazzed about that! This month, I reread a couple books, and also tried to make a dent in my ARC pile. Most notably, Sasha Peyton Smith’s The Witch Haven, and Allison Saft’s A Far Wilder Magic were my standouts of this month. Next month, I’m super excited for theatreathon, and to see what I end up reading through that!

Posts I Loved Reading:
- I’m not a huge sci-fi reader, but I’m hoping to get into more sci-fi soon, and so Kal’s 6 Sci-Fi Beach Reads to read this summer post was a standout for me this month!
- I loved reading The Witch Haven, and Gauri’s review made me even more excited for my reread next month!
I found the Feelings Book Tag that Saima did so fun and interesting, and I’ll definitely be checking some of these books out!
I won’t lie, this month wasn’t my best reading month, but I thoroughly enjoyed most of what I read! I think my favourite book this month has to be This Poison Heart by Kaylnn Bayron, which just so happens to be one of our teatimereads pick for September! This book had everything I love in it: action, fantasy, and an interesting plot that kept me engaged. Cossette wrote a full review of this book, which you can read here. I also read From Lukov With Love by Mariana Zapata this month, which I am now utterly obsessed with. In fact, I even went as far as signing up for ice skating lessons because this book made me fall in love with the sport. It was just so much fun, and I cannot wait to reread! Next month I’m so excited to finalise my theatreathon TBR, and reading some more exciting books!

Posts I Loved Reading:
- I really loved Hannah’s review of Felix Ever After by Kacen Callender. This book has been on my TBR for ages, and this review has made me want to read it even more.
- Saniya wrote a very lovely review for Sugar and Spite by Gail D. Villaneuva. This middle grade enemies-to-friends seems so much fun, and the cover is so pretty! I definitely will be checking this one out.
- I’ve been seeing The Inheritance Games by Jennifer Lynn Barnes all over my social media, so I loved reading Ashmita’s review! I love thrillers, so this review has made me even more eager to read this book.
Thank you so much for reading, we’ll see you all next month for another wrap up!
