Hello, hello friends and welcome to yet another teatimelit monthly wrap up! We hope this month has been kind to you, and you’ve read many good books. This month Caitlyn read 17 books, Cossette read 42 books, and Mary read 2 books.
This has been a very good reading month for me! The beginning of this month had me out of my reading slump and I finished 6 books in the first week. In total I ended up reading 17 books. I also hit 100 books which was my goal at the beginning of the month so I’m feeling good about all the reading that I’ve done, especially because it’s been very busy both professionally and personally. I read a lot of really good books this month, but my favorites had to have been Fools in Love: Fresh Twists on Romantic Tales, Some Other Now, Break the Fall, Working on a Song: The Lyrics of Hadestown, and Hani and Ishu’s Guide to Fake Dating. Next month, I’ve got some fun ideas planned for how I will go about choosing my reads, which I’ll be posting about on Wednesday, as well as getting through some of my ARCs and book club reads!

Posts I Loved Reading:
- As someone who takes FOREVER to write reviews, I absolutely love the idea of speed reviewing and really enjoyed this post by Delaney! I may just have to try my hand at speed reviewing soon…
What a reading month it’s been! I read 42 books this month, finding some new favorites, and getting to reread some old ones as well. This month, I finally read Talia Hibbert’s Brown Sisters series, as well as Marie Lu’s Legend series, and immediately understood the hype around them both. Other new books I loved reading were Axie Oh’s XOXO, The Dead and the Dark by Courtney Gould, and House of Hollow by Krystal Sutherland. Next month, I’m excited to finally read Fonda Lee’s The Green Bone Saga (speaking it into existence!), hopefully also read We Hunt the Flame by Hafsah Faiszal, and catch up on some ARCs!

Posts I Loved Reading:
- Shannon’s She Who Became the Sun review has me even more excited for when I get around to reading it!
- I’m always looking for more diverse reads to add to my never-ending TBR, and Amanda’s most anticipated diverse reads list was exactly what I wanted — and can we just talk about the quick takes and emojis? So cute!
- Six Crimson Cranes was one of my favorite reads last month, and Ahaana’s review so succinctly covers everything I loved about it!
- Saima’s one of my favorite people, so of course I couldn’t pass up checking out their anticipated releases for the second half of 2021post!
- Sumedha’s Drag Me Up review immediately made me add it to my TBR! I mean, a diverse Hades and Persephone retelling? What more could a girl want?
This has been a very, very bad reading month for me. I’ve been insanely busy with work, university resuming, and the show I’ve been rehearsing for two months finally being performed. Due to this, my reading has taken a back burner. The best book I read this month was The Dead and the Dark by Courtney Gould, which is excitingly our teatimereads August pick! This book was so incredibly wonderful, and I cannot wait to share it with our readers. Here’s hoping August is a productive reading month – who knows, maybe this will be what gets me back into listening to audiobooks!
