Wrap Up: October 2025

October 31, 2025

I know I say it every month, but I truly can’t believe that this month is over! October really flew by and I can’t believe it’s come and gone already!

A lot was going on this month, so let’s get to it!

This month was a much better reading month than September was. Not just in quantity but in quality. I read a lot of really great 4-4.5 star books and knocked a few books off of my physical tbr!

Books read this month:

  1. A Witch’s Guide to Magical Innkeeping by Sangu Mandanna (4.5 stars)
  2. You Killed Me First by John Marrs (3 stars)
  3. A Deadly Night at the Theatre by Katy Watson (4 stars)
  4. The Firefly Summer by Morgan Matson (4 stars)
  5. Private Rites by Julia Armfield (3.5 stars)
  6. The London Séance Society by Sarah Penner (3 stars)
  7. Say You’ll Remember Me by Abby Jimenez (3 stars)
  8. The House of My Mother: A Daughter’s Quest for Freedom by Shari Franke (unrated)
  9. Soul Searching by Lyla Sage (4 stars)
  10. The Menu of Happiness by Hisashi Kashiwai (3 stars)
  11. Promchanted by Morgan Matson (4.5 stars)
  12. Girl Dinner by Olivie Blake (ARC, 4 stars)
  13. Macbeth by William Shakespeare (reread, 5 stars)

Blog posts and vlogs I loved this month:

  • Get up babes, Kayla Predicted Her Ratings for 5 New Horror Books. I’m absolutely obsessed with this series from her and will watch every single one that she posts.
  • If there are two things you know I love, it’s murder mysteries and Little Women. Combine the two and you’ve got me in a chokehold. I hadn’t heard of Katie Bernet’s debut Beth Is Dead, which is coming out in January 2026, before reading Ahaana’s post and now I need this book in my hands immediately! I am so excited to read this.
  • I also loved Ahaana’s interview with Chloe Gong to discuss her latest book, Coldwire. I’ve got an ARC of Coldwire and this made me even more excited to dive into it!

My posts this month:

  • Books on My Owned TBR That I Want to Read by the End of the Year
  • Quarter 3 Stats

As bad as September was, October was much better! There were a lot of fun things for me personally this month.

I went to The Life of a Showgirl Release Party and had a lot of fun doing so. It was so much fun and there was a group of elderly people sitting in front of me, and watching them dance along to the album was so freaking cute 🥹

The & Juliet tour was back in town, this time with the year 2 cast, and I got to see them 3 times! The year 2 cast was so fantastic; I especially loved Fabiola as Juliet, Crystal as Anne and Joseph as Romeo. It was a lot of fun to see both tour casts within a few months of each other and I’m so glad that I got to see my favorite show 7 times this year!

The big highlight of the month was that I went to Disney World! The last time I was in Disney World was in 2019, so it had been a very long time since I last experienced the Disney magic. I love being at Disney during Halloween with all the fall and Halloween decorations! It was also nice that it wasn’t extremely hot in Orlando. Was I still VERY warm because I run hot? Yes, absolutely, but it wasn’t as hot as it was the last time I was there, and for that I am grateful 🤣 I had the best time with Helena and her husband and their baby, I’m so glad that it worked out for me to join them on this trip and for us all to spend some time together.

Obviously, I’ve been listening to The Life of a Showgirl constantly this month. Personally, I love it and I’m having a great time listening to it. I really have mostly been listening to that this month, but this month I finally got my long awaited Niall Horan and Thomas Rhett collab with Old Tricks and I’ve been listening to that a lot as well!

I haven’t really watched anything new this month. Just continuing with new episodes of The Great British Baking Show and I’ve been rewatching a lot of Disney movies this month. I’m probably gonna watch some more Halloween themed movies today while I’m working/doing other things, and of course gonna watch game 6 of the World Series tonight (come on Blue Jays let’s win it all!)

If you’re going out tonight for Halloween, I hope that you have a great time and stay safe!

I hope that you all had a great October! I’d love to hear about what you’ve been up to this month, so let me know in the comments.

Until next time! 💜

I’m so glad to see that The Life of a Showgirl is playing on loop for you too! My favourites off the album are The Fate of Ophelia and Opalite—I can’t believe so many people hated on the album online. Omg Disney!!! I haven’t been to Disney World in literally FOREVER; seeing your photos has made me so nostalgic 🥹

I really hope you do enjoy Beth is Dead and Coldwire when you read them, and that November goes fabulously for you! Thank you for linking to my posts ❤️
