Hi friends! Now that it’s November, I’m thinking about my end of the year plans — things I want to get done before the end of the year, the books I want to read and prioritize, and my final blog posts for the year.
I thought it would be fun to take some time and go through those things with all of you. Get comfy and cozy and let’s talk about my end of the year plans.

I know that I’ve been a little lax with the blog lately. I’ve been so busy with work and life in general and because of that I’ve had a harder time writing reviews. I’d love to get a few more reviews in before the end of the year, but I just don’t know if I will. It definitely doesn’t help that while I’ve had books that I’ve strongly enjoyed, I haven’t really had anything that I’ve loved so much that I want to sit and write a nice long review for. There are some books that I’m planning on reading in the next 2 months that I’m really excited for, so hopefully, they inspire me to sit and do some review writing!
One of my favorite things about the end of the year, means doing end of the year blog posts! Some of the posts that I’m really looking forward to working on are:
- How Many Books on My 25 in 2025 Did I Read?
- Anticipated Reads of 2026
- Did I Read All of My 2025 Anticipated Reads?
- Favorite Books of the Year
I also have an announcement this month that I’m really excited about, so keep your eyes peeled for that! Something else that I would love to do before the end of the year is reread Frankenstein and watch Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein and do a compare and contrast, but I’m not sure if I’ll be able to do that before the end of the year, so that may have to be a 2026 blog post! I’ll be seeing Wicked: For Good this month, and since I reviewed the first film last year, I figured I might as well review the second film as well!
2026 post brainstorming has begun and I’ve got some posts that I’m very excited for! If there’s anything specific you’d like to see on the blog/hear my thoughts on, be sure to let me know!

Truthfully, I don’t know why I try to set specific book plans ever because I always end up just reading whatever I feel like at the moment because I’m truly such a mood reader. However, last month I did share a post of Books on My Owned tbr That I Want to Read by the End of the Year and I do want to prioritize those! So far I’ve read two which is…not great, but some of the books on this list fit some specific reading plans that I have for the end of the year, so I should be able to get most of these done!
I am woefully behind on 2025 ARCs, even the ones that are super high on my anticipated list, so I am going to try to get as many of them read as possible. Even if I need to get the audiobooks of some of them since almost all of them are released now…that absolute mess of a reading month that was September really did me in when it came to the ARCs, but I will get them read!
This month I’ll finally be reading Never Thought I’d End Up Here by Ann Liang for the one Buzzwordathon November prompts (I already completed the cover prompt for this month). Then for Buzzwordathon in December I’ll be reading Passion Project by London Sperry for the alliteration prompt, and The Hunchback of Notre Dame for the monochromatic prompt.

As for some other book related things that I want to get done for the end of the year, I obviously want to get to setting up my 2026 reading journal! I changed some things for 2025 and the majority of them worked pretty well! I’ll be continuing with some of the layouts that I set up this year, but will also be trying new things. Unfortunately, the journal that I ordered to be my 2026 reading journal isn’t going to ship until mid December, so I won’t be able to work on setting it up for a while. I’ve got a word doc of journaling plans set up though so that once it arrives I can get started!
I’ll probably do another unhaul at the end of the year once I’ve (hopefully) read some more books on my physical tbr. I’d also like to go through my bookmarks because I have A LOT of them and definitely don’t need as many as I have, so I’d like to sort through them and donate the ones that I no longer want. I should probably go through my annotation supplies and book sleeves as well. I’m doing a big unhaul/donation of a lot of things I own (clothes, shoes, bags, etc.) and that’s inspiring me to do the same with pretty much everything else I own 🤣
I’ve been thinking up some bookish crafts as well, so I would love to at least start some of them before the end of the year!

Now that I’ve talked about some of my end of the year plans, I’d love to hear what you’re hoping to get done with the last two months of 2025! Let me know in the comments!
Until next time 💜
