Hi besties! I hope that you had a fabulous February! It’s been a bit of a crazy month around here.
Grab your favorite cozy beverage, a warm blanket and let’s chat about the month!
As per usual in February, I read quite a bit of contemporary romance, and I think I may be a bit romanced out for a little while…even with that, it was a pretty solid reading month! Aside from reading 18 books, I found two new 5 star reads, as well as some really fantastic 4 – 4.5 star reads.
Books read this month:
- Worst Wingman Ever by Abby Jimenez (3 stars)
- Drop, Cover, and Hold On by Jasmine Guillory (2 stars)
- With Any Luck by Ashley Poston (3.5 stars)
- The Atlas Six by Olivie Blake (reread, 4 stars)
- That’s Not My Name by Megal Lally (5 stars)
- Not Here to Stay Friends by Kaitlyn Hill (4 stars)
- This Golden State by Marit Weisenberg (4 stars)
- Today Tonight Tomorrow by Rachel Lynn Solomon (reread, annotation, 5 stars)
- Past Present Future by Rachel Lynn Solomon (ARC, annotation, 4.5 stars)
- The Atlas Paradox by Olivie Blake (reread, 4 stars)
- The Guest List by Lucy Foley (2 stars)
- In the Market for Murder by T.E. Kinsey (3.5 stars)
- The Neighbor Favor by Kristina Forest (3 stars)
- In the Mix by Mandy Gonzalez (3.5 stars)
- Everyone in My Family Has Killed Someone by Benjamin Stevenson (4 stars)
- The Seven Year Slip by Ashley Poston (5 stars)
- Veronica Ruiz Breaks the Bank by Elle Cosimano (3 stars)
- Finaly Donovan Rolls the Dice by Elle Cosimano (ARC, 3 stars)
Blog posts and vlogs I loved this month:
- This spring is packed with new Broadway musicals (seriously, there is an insane amount of shows opening, it’s truly overwhelming) and a lot of them are adaptations of books. I loved reading Helena’s post about some of them!
- I also loved Helena’s review of Rachel Lynn Solomon’s Past Present Future, which I also read this month and loved.
- Robin’s review of Alexandria Bellefleur’s latest release Truly Madly Deeply (Alexa, please play One Direction’s song of the same title), I’m even more excited to read it!
My posts this month:
Who else felt like February went by in the blink of an eye? The beginning of the month was busy with work (not surprising) and busy with getting ready for my trip to visit Helena over February break. I was able to visit Helena for a week, and let me tell you, it was a much needed trip! It felt so nice to disconnect from work and spend time with my best friend, and of course, see some fantastic theatre.
In typical Helena and Caitlyn fashion, we packed a lot of shows into a short amount of time. In fact, we ended up seeing 7 shows in 5 days, which is definitely the most we’ve managed to do in that amount of time. We saw Six, & Juliet (we actually saw & Juliet 3 times…), The Notebook (Ingrid Michaelson was sitting right in front of us, absolutely wild), Hadestown, and Sweeney Todd. Of course, we went to some bookstores and I left the city with a lot more books than I arrived with, but you know what, it was totally worth it!
While my trip was amazing, I unfortunately came home with a cold that I’ve been trying to kick for this last week. It’s mostly gone now, but I’ve still got a lingering cough, so I’ve been staying home and working from home to avoid giving anybody else a cold.
How was the month of February for you? Did you do anything exciting? Find any new favorite books? Tell me all about it in the comments!
Until next time 💜

We have totally normal feelings about & Juliet.
