Hi, hello friends and welcome back to another wrap up post! We’re super excited to be sharing what books we read this month – it’s been yet another successful reading month for us all!
This month Caitlyn read 25 books, Cossette read 31 books, and Mary read 10 books.
I hit a really odd reading slump in the middle of the month, but even with that, this ended up being a really great reading month for me. I read 25 books in March and there were so many that I enjoyed! My favorites of the month would have to be Ashley Herring Blake’s Delilah Green Doesn’t Care, Carolyn Tara O’Neil’s Daughters of a Dead Empire, Raquel Marie’s Ophelia After All, Tessa Bailey’s Hook, Line, and Sinker and Kaitlyn Hill’s Love from Scratch. I also reread two of my all time favorite books, Les Misérables and Little Women, which brought me a lot of comfort and emotional distress as always! I also started the Bridgerton series after much prodding from Cossette, and surprisingly I ended up loving The Viscount Who Loved Me. Next month, as always, I definitely need to catch up on ARCs, but reading on a screen has been hard lately because of how much screen time I have for work, but I’m going to make sure to read quite a few of my ARCs in April!

Posts I Loved Reading:
- I really loved Zainab’s post about books with POC couples, written by POC authors. There are a lot of books I loved on this list and some that have been on my TBR for a while now!
- I thought that 24hr.YABookBlog’s post on Overly Specific Book Recommendations was a super fun idea and this list had some books that sound super intriguing!
- Every month I look forward to all the new releases, and lucky for me, Jen over at Pop!GoesTheReader compiled a list of YA April 2022 releases! Some of these books have been on my TBR for a while, but this list has definitely made my TBR grow!
I originally was going to say that I didn’t read as much as I was hoping to (new job!), but I ended up reading 31 books this month! Surprisingly, I finally got onto the audiobook kick, and listened to 5 audiobooks — which is more audiobooks than I normally listen to in a year. This month, I read the entire Bridgerton series (we do not need to talk about how quickly I read all of them) and was surprised to find a new favorite in The Viscount Who Loved Me. I then proceeded to make everyone I know read it! I also finally finished Les Miserables on Audiobook, as well as The Priory of the Orange Tree. Another highlight for me this month were The Flatshare by Beth O’Leary. Next month, I really need to get caught up on ARCs! I’m also looking forward to finishing up my readathon TBR for the Animal Crossing readathon.

Posts I Loved Reading:
- This month, I really loved Lia’s review of Redemptor. I read Redemptor last summer, and was reminded of what I loved about it.
- I found the 24hryabookblog’s post about the relevancy of book bloggers in relation to Booktok really validating! I’ve thought about making the jump to booktok at times, especially since I’m on bookstagram, but I don’t think I’d have a fun time there!
- Gauri’s interview with Lillie Lainoff was so lovely to read! I really enjoyed reading One for All last month, and so getting to read this interview and get a deeper insight for the characters and the story was just wonderful.
- I found Pages Unbound’s Support Book Bloggers Challenge to be such a great idea! Granted, I’ve already missed out on the first three months of the year, but that’s okay — I’ll be building these tasks into my schedule and supporting more bloggers!
- I really loved Lay’s post on reading 30 books in 31 days! I appreciated their openness about their problems, what worked for them, and what didn’t!
I admittedly read a lot of disappointing books this month, but that’s ok! Not every month can be filled with new favourites and series for me to be obsessed with. One of the highlights of my reading month had to be rereading and annotating my physical copy of From Lukov with Love by Mariana Zapata! This book means so much to me as it’s what helped me discover my love of figure skating, so getting to highlight my favourite parts and leave little notes for myself to find next time I read it was super enjoyable. This month was the release of my most anticipated book of the year, The War of Two Queens by Jennifer L. Armentrout and it did not disappoint. While it wasn’t as good as the other books in the series, I still loved it! I can’t wait to see where the next book goes, and how the series begins to wrap up. Finally, I read Ophelia After All by Racquel Marie and really liked it! It was our pick for teatimereads, and it didn’t disappoint! I can’t wait to continue discussing the book with everyone as well! I’m looking forward to seeing where April takes me on my reading journey – here’s hoping I pick up some new favourites along the way!

Posts I Loved Reading:
- Kat’s review of Once More Upon a Time by Roshani Chokshi has made me extremely hyped to pick this book up!
- Georgia’s post outlining some books loved but never mentioned on the blog was super interesting!
- Amy Leigh reread the entire grishaverse and detailed it in a post! I didn’t get very far into this world but I love reading the thoughts from someone who adored it!
Thank you all so much for reading our wrap up post, and we will see you next month!
